Photo Credit: Google Images Dr Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, blood brother of the Labour Party presidential running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed has revealed the reason behind his decision to stay clear of the Peter Obi/Datti presidential campaigns. He sighted that he is yet to decide on who to support as he insisted that the next president of Nigeria must be a versatile person.
Dr Hakeem Baba-Ahmed unveiled his mind in the 2023 presidential election after he was challenged by some of the supporters of his brother, Datti Baba-Ahmed.
Onyi Ashama had asked Dr Baba-Ahmed "why he is not campaigning for his brother, Datti Baba-Ahmed.
Responding to the question, Dr Baba-Ahmed made it known that both Peter Obi and his brother, Datti know that the future of Nigerians requires serious scrutiny and careful decisions as he would only support the best among the candidates.
In his words, Dr Baba-Ahmed said "I am not campaigning for any candidate. I want the best for Nigeria. Some found theirs a long time ago. For me, our future requires serious scrutiny and careful decisions. My brother and PO (Peter Obi) know this. When I do decide, I will, like everyone else, have one vote."
This statement may denote that Dr Baba-Ahmed has not found enough competence in the capacity of Mr Peter Obi and his brother, Datti in the course of transforming the country to greater heights.
Recall that Datti Baba-Ahmed was picked as the running mate to the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, ahead of the February 25th general election.
