People are reacting differently to the latest development about the death of the Nigerian popular Nollywood actor, Mr. John Ikechukwu Okafor who is popularly known as Mr. Ibu on the screen as his adopted daughter, Chioma Jasmine allegedly took over his TikTok account and renamed it to hers, even when the death of his adopted father is being mourned.
Mr. Ibu who was born on October 17, 1961, was reported dead on March 2nd, 2024 after a prolonged undisclosed ailment. Mr Ibu was a Nigerian actor and comedian and has appeared in over 200 Nollywood films including those from the Mr. Ibu series.
Unfortunately, when the fans were still trying to confirm the news of his death, it was detected that his verified TikTok account had been renamed from his profile to that of his adopted daughter, Chioma, a development that has generated mixed reactions from the fans.
Chioma renamed Mr. Ibu's TikTok account from "realmribu" to her name "Lady Jasmine"!
Many people had supported Chioma's action claiming she stood by Mr. Ibu throughout the struggle, then she deserves it before untold development. However, some people thought that she should have waited a moment before changing the profile of the dead comedian, bearing in mind that many people would want to visit the social media profile of the late actor to confirm his death.
Some people were even of perception that Chioma had failed to replicate the love shown to her by Mr. Ibu when he was alive claiming her action showed she was only interested in the wealthy aspect of her Kate adopted dad, Mr. Ibu.
