Adeleke's One Year in Office and The Moment of 'Unholy Alliance Drug Party' in Osun

Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA on Saturday 25th November 2023, raided a lounge in Osogbo, the Osun state capital where a night party organized for illicit substance abuse was going to hold and arrested some of the organizers who were found with drug exhibits. The unfortunate aspect of the event is its commemoration of the first anniversary of the inauguration of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, whose major achievement, according to some of its anchors, has been claims to the provisions of enable the environment for businesses to strive, and Lounge and Bars have been the major examples of the investment that the government attracts.

Following a piece of timely information received by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), the venue of the illicit party, where confiscated drugs, and various chemicals of organic hard substances have been stockpiled by the organizers was burst by the NDLEA officers. Arrests were made with the seizure of the prepared illicit substances.

Among those arrested were Ikotu Omolayo, 25; Fola Olabode, 30, and Akorede Adunni Ajibola, 22 while the management of the Lounge has also been invited by the NDLEA.

Also, the organizer of the 'unholy alliance drug Party' in Osogbo, Gbemileke Ademola, 30, who hails from Ifelodun-Irepodun Area of Ekiti State was later arrested and taken to the State's NDLEA office in Osogbo.

Amazingly, the Berrymist Lounge located in the Ofatedo area of Osogbo where the 'Unholy Alliance Drug Party' was meant to take place before swift intervention by the NDLEA was not the only venue of illicit conduct that was quit by the NDLEA officers on the same week commemorating the celebration of Governor Ademola Adeleke's one year in office as another burst was made, successfully in Ile Ife, the hometown of the Deputy Governor of the State.

The State chapter of the NDLEA had earlier conducted a raid on Thursday 23rd November, 2023 at Area 5 forest reserve, Ile-Ife where operatives recovered 156kgs of cannabis sativa.
