Ademola Adeleke A lot has been heard and said about various allegations of maladministration by the regime of Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, mostly his attitude towards retrenching Osun State staff capacity.
A few weeks after assuming the office of the Governor, Ademola Adeleke was alleged of a hidden motive to reduce the strength of the state workforce when he ordered total auditing of all the active workers in the state civil service.
Although the attempt to reduce the staff strength of the Osun State workforce was first denied by the state government, recent moves by the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke insist the claim is more than a mere allegation.
Aside from the staff auditing, which has been detected to be a plot to sack Osun State staff who are perceived to be loyalists to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, the latest development alleged that Governor Ademola Adeleke, in a recent memo, has ordered all the state workers to print their bank account statements starting from 2015 to date.
Some state workers alleged that the memo which mandated them to print their bank statements is to reduce the number of high-ranking civil servants in the state who are perceived to be loyalists of APC.
State workers who spoke with the Round Table alleged that the memo which mandates them to print their bank account statements is targeting the Directors and other high-ranking state workers who could have shown loyalty to APC in the past.
Another source alleged that Governor Ademola Adeleke's administration is aiming towards replacing many workers that would be sacked by people from Ede, the hometown of the Governor.
They alleged that the Adeleke family's mission is to recruit many Ede people into the state civil service so that they will continue to have access to vital information in the state, even if they lose the 2026 Governorship election in the state as they project to bring David Adeleke, who is popularly known as Davido into Osun State politics in the nearest future.
