Adamawa, governorship election results
Dino Melaye and Atiku Abubakar
Former member of the Senate and one of frontline campaigners for the presidential ambition of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Dino Melaye has threaten the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) over the results of the governorahop election in Adamawa State.

The Adamawa State Governorahip elections being keenly contests between Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of the Peoples Democratic Pratt (PDP)and Aisha Binani of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Adamawa is the home state of the presidential candidate of PDP in the February 25th general election, Atiku Abubakar.

Melaye alleged that the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in the state is currently under pressure not to declare Governor Fintiri. He claimed that the results available on the INEC Results Viewing Portal (IReV) show that Governor Fintiri has been reelected as the governor of the state. He therefore warn that INEC may face the consequences of making declaration of other name aside Governor Fintiri.

Dino Melaye said "The REC in Adamawa is under instruction not to declare Governor Fintiri who by posted results on the portal of INEC won the election. The plan to announce anything different from what was posted will attract irredeemable consequences. Don't touch fire...

However, the RoundTable gathered that the Vice President-elect, Kashim Shettima was flied to Adamawa State capital yesterday to stand by Aisha Binani and stop INEC from tampering with her victory as collated results across the polling units in the state have projected her as the winner of the governorship contest in the state.

There was a strong allegation, yesterday that Governor Fintiri of the PDP is doing everything upturn the victory of Aisha Binani, who if declared by the INEC would become the first duly elected Female Governor in the country since her independent in 1960.
