Actress Kelley Mack Dies at 33 After Battle with Cancer

The entertainment world is mourning the loss of actress Kelley Mack, who passed away on August 2 at the age of 33. Her death was confirmed by her family, who revealed that she had been battling glioma of the central nervous system, a rare form of brain cancer.


Mack, born Kelley Lynne Klebenow, was known for her roles in popular television shows and films, leaving a lasting impression on audiences with her vibrant spirit and talent. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, and her career began in her youth with commercials before she moved to Los Angeles.


Cause of Death


According to a statement from her family, Mack's death was a result of a battle with glioma of the central nervous system. This is a type of brain and spinal cord tumor. Mack had publicly shared her diagnosis in September 2024 and had undergone aggressive treatment, including proton radiation. Her family's social media post confirmed she passed away peacefully, surrounded by her mother and aunt.


A Career Defined by Versatility and Passion


Throughout her career, Kelley Mack demonstrated her range as an actress and filmmaker. Among her most notable roles was that of Addy in the ninth season of "The Walking Dead," where she appeared in five episodes. She also had guest roles in other popular series such as "9-1-1" and "Chicago Med."


Beyond acting, Mack was a multi-talented artist with a passion for filmmaking. She was an executive producer on the upcoming film "Universal," in which she also had a starring role. She also wrote, directed, and edited her own short film, "Positive." Her voice acting talents were also featured in the Oscar-winning animated film "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse," where she was the voice match for Hailee Steinfeld's character, Gwen Stacy.


Mack's family remembered her as an "accomplished college tennis player who loved hiking, pickleball, biking, playing piano and traveling." In a social media post, her sister honored her bravery, saying she was "so f--king proud of her."
