Two Notorious Occultic Groups Send Letters to Popular Yoruba Obas
Akarigbo of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi
The two most popular occultic groups in Nigeria, the Neo Black Movement, which is popularly known as Aiye, and its rival, the National Association of Airlords which is widely known as Eiye Confraternity, have written separate letters to the Akarigbo of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, begging for his forgiveness as the two groups had shut down the city of Sagamu over the recent time.

All other traditional rulers in the region were also copied in the letter where the cultist prayed for forgiveness from the spiritual leaders of Remoland.

In recent times, the two occultic groups have engaged themselves in the renewal of their usual rivalry allegedly leading to the demise of about 30 people, including members of the two occultic groups.

To curb the insecurity challenge, the leadership of the community, in collaboration with police, and vigilante groups, the So-Safe Corps as well as Amotekun had formed a task force, making it difficult for the cult members to continue with their rivalry.

The Round Table learned that the two occultic groups forwarded their "Letters of Apology" to the Ogun State monarchs in December 2023.

The letter from the Eiye Confraternity arrived at the palace of Akarigbo of Remoland on December 22, 2023, while that of Aiye landed in the palace on December 26, 2023.

The Eiye Confraternity in its letter titled, “Letter of Apology,” and signed by “Supreme Most Eiye Confraternity,” read, “We the above-named association of Sagamu chapter, hereby apologize to everyone in the community as we are ready to operate and follow any rules and regulations been laid down by the community to stop any future recurrence.

“We are begging for your forgiveness and to please find a place in your heart to forgive us for the wrongdoings and barbaric acts that had occurred in the past, as it will not repeat itself.

“We are deeply sorry once again; we are all making use of this medium in promising the community that Sagamu shall be peaceful till the end of time.”

Also, the Neo-Black Movement’s letter partly read, “We the above-named organization want to use this medium to let the community know that we are a peaceful organization and we will remain one.

“We also want to use this medium to appreciate your efforts in making sure there’s peaceful co-existence within Sagamu and Remo at large. Long Live Sagamu!”
