Pasuma, Portable and Pastor De Governor Yoruba fuji musician, Alhaji Wasiu Alabi Pasuma and Nigerian singer and rapper, Habeeb Olalomi Oyegbile who is popularly known as Portable will be the leading singers at the 2023 version of Ankara/Praise Night of the Land of Goshen Cathedral, Mountain of Divine Encounter with God, Lagos.
According to an announcement published by the church, the Pastor of the Nigerian church, Evangelist Sunday GP who is popularly called De Governor by his church members or otherwise called Ebundola 1 of Lagos will welcome members of the church and coordinate them as Alhaji Wasiu Alabi Pasuma give them Fuji music while portable will lead the congregation through the street hits.
Although many people are skeptical about the decision of the Celestial Church of Christ's Pastor De Governor to have invited Alhaji Wasiu Alabi Pasuma and Portable, both Muslims, to lead the Church through the Night of Praise; some people expressed amusement as, particularly, the name of Portable who is otherwise known as "Were Olorin" [yoruba words meaning "crazy musician"] surfaced on the church's invites.
The belief of some of the netizens reacting to the proposed church program was that a musician like Portable is good for street hits, and they would keenly be interested in how the musician would cut his music to match the requirements of the holy events.
Considerably, Pastor De Governor may strategically achieve his aim by using the two music stars to pull the crowd to the venue of his program where they may serve as the Godly bait in religious evangelism.
The program marks the seventh anniversary of the church's Ankara/Praise Night.
Although after the netizens attacked the church's plan to invite Portable and Pasuma to the Praise Night, the church allegedly claimed to have withdrawn Portable's invitation while that of Pasuma stands, none of the church's contact including their social media spaces could verify the withdrawal claim.
