On Valentine's Day, people surprise their lovely ones with remarkable gifts and moments that cannot easily be forgotten. This is nothing different from what happened on the campus of Abia State University, Uturu, today, February 14, 2024.
The students were properly seated expecting their lecturer to walk in and take them through the topic of the day, but they were later entangled in the stream of love where a female student and member of the class is everything that occupied the heart of their lecturer.
The lecturer with Abia State University who is identified to be Mr. Anucha Wisdom entered the class and called out the small world in her heart, that is his female student.
Although the female student thought it was an academic affair until her lecturer, Me. Anucha went down on his kneels before the class at a very close distance to the already confused young female student.
She could not believe it but her colleagues [fellow students, both males and females] quickly grabbed what was happening. They wore the skin of excitement and encouraged the excited female student to say the expected word, and that is "Yes" even when Mr. Anucha had not verbally asked her out.
The fellow students brought out their mobile phones to add taste to the evergreen scene.
Mr. Anucha, summoned courage and asked her the beautiful question, "Would you marry me?"
There echo of joy in the class that Mr. Anucha only had to read through her student's mouth to ascertain she said "YES" and the Proposal ring was installed on her finger.
There have been mixed reactions following the development as some commentators eulogized and blessed the proposal, a few commentators said it was immoral.
David Iwok, Reacting to the development, said "There is no other better day than today. Love indeed has no age, title, or qualifications.
However, John Chinaza, was of a different opinion as she said "Is very wrong for a lecturer to propose to his student inside the classroom while other students are, it shows a very bad impression of him and a very bad example.
Although Udoh Glory felicitated the female student as he said she is lucky, her fiance is not a "hit and run". A lot of people send them congratulations and endorse the development.
