In a trending social media post, the current first lady, Senator Remi Tinubu was allegedly quoted to have raised serious allegations against the former Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai.
In the speculated post, Senator Remi was allegedly quoted of accusing El-Rufai of demanding a divorce between her and Bola Ahmed Tinubu with Tinubu marrying a Northern Muslim woman in place of Remi before he could work for Tinubu's presidential ambition ahead of the 2023 election.
Senator Remi allegedly claimed that her husband, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu (now President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria) had wanted to choose a northern Christian, and precisely, former Secretary General of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, was his choice before El-Rufai came with his demand.
She was allegedly quoted that her husband's refusal to divorce her and marry a northern Muslim woman led to the Muslim-Muslim ticket flied by the All Progressives Congress (APC) with her husband as the presidential candidate in 2023.
