Gov Oborevwori Appoints Activist Harrison as SSA on Civic Society After August Protest

Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has approved the appointment of a human activist in the state, Harrison Gwamnishu as a Senior Special Assistant on Civil Society and Youth Mobilization.

Harrison's appointment is coming barely a week after the August protest
by some youths and activists, calling on the public officeholders to end bad government by cutting the number of their aides, and the cost of governance.

The August protest which took place in some parts of Nigeria had seen some governors closing ties with the perceived mobilizers for the protests, hence worsening the already huge cost of governance in the country by rolling out appointments for them while many were allegedly settled in cash.

Harrison, who could not hide the new appointment, took to his media page to share the news, he wrote

"I am grateful for the honor bestowed upon me by His Excellency Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, Executive Governor of Delta State by appointing me as SENIOR SPECIAL ASSISTANT (CIVIL SOCIETY AND YOUTH MOBILIZATION)
