Northwich, UK – An urgent search operation is currently underway in Cheshire for 38-year-old Rachel Booth, who was reported missing in the early hours of Saturday, July 19, 2025. Police, along with specialist search teams, are expressing increasing concern for her welfare as the investigation continues.
Rachel was last seen by her family in the Barnton area of Northwich. CCTV footage later captured her at approximately 3:50 AM on Saturday morning at Sandiway Garage on the A556. She is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, of slim build, with blonde hair, and was believed to be wearing black leggings and a black top.
Authorities believe Rachel may have traveled to the Oakmere area of Delamere, a rural part of Cheshire. In response, police officers, assisted by an Underwater Search Team and Cheshire Search and Rescue, are conducting extensive inquiries in the area. Local businesses, including a nearby water park, Wild Shore Delamere, have closed to facilitate the ongoing police investigation.
Superintendent Paul Hughes of Cheshire Constabulary has appealed to the public for any information that could help locate Rachel. "We are currently following a number of inquiries to trace Rachel and we are becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare," he stated. "As part of our investigation, our officers and partner agencies, including the Underwater Search Team and Cheshire Search and Rescue, are conducting enquiries in the Oakmere and surrounding areas where it is believed Rachel travelled to, and we would like to thank local businesses for their patience and understanding."
He added a direct appeal to Rachel: "Investigators are following all lines of enquiry and anyone who has seen Rachel since she was reported missing is asked to contact us. The same goes for anyone who has any information on her whereabouts. We would also like to appeal directly to Rachel to get in touch to let us know you are OK."
Anyone with information is urged to contact Cheshire Police via 101 or through their website, quoting incident number IML-2136439.
This developing situation has generated significant concern in the community, with many hoping for Rachel's safe return.
