One of the latest features integrated with the Visual Studio 2022 is the ability to serve your localhost websites over the secured https protocol.

So instead of the traditional http://localhost:port number over which your localhost websites are served during the development phase, Visual Studio can now render your websites over the secured https protocol. This allows developers to have more scope for testing many services that are integrated to the websites and require the website to be served over https before the service could used.

However, in some scenarios, you may not want to serve your localhost website over https protocol or feel the https version may be responsible for some bugs during debugging.

Having said that, to stop your ASPX project in Visual Studio 2022 from using HTTPS, follow these steps:

1. Project Properties:

    - Open your project properties:

    - Right-click your project in Solution Explorer > Properties.

- Go to the "Web" tab.

- Under the "Web Servers", look for the "Project URL" setting.

- Change the URL from `https://localhost:port` to `http://localhost:port`.

2. Disable SSL:

- In the same "Web" tab, look for the "SSL Enabled" setting and set it to `False` or uncheck any checkbox that speaks relatively to this.

3. Save Changes:

- Save your project properties changes.

By following these steps, your ASPX project should stop using HTTPS and use HTTP instead. If you encounter any issues, ensure you've saved your changes and try running your project again.

You can revert back to the https version by reversing all the steps given above in the Visual Studio.
