United Kingdom Prime Minister, Rishi Sinai, yesterday said "You don’t have to go to university to succeed in life.
Commenting on a post submitted by one Gillian Keegan, the PM stated further that "Growing apprenticeships. Cracking down on rip-off degrees. Delivering a more secure future for your children" are the core plan of the Conservative Patty for the people of the United Kingdom as they prepare for the poll.
He said "I want every young person to get the opportunities they need to thrive.
That's why we're taking bold action to deliver 100,000 more apprenticeships a year.
However, Sunak's remark has generated reactions as people took diverging stands.
Many people believe university education is a necessity even though the graduate may not need to practice what he studied in school before making it big. There is a general belief that the knowledge garnered from a university education helps the youths in their missions to have a breakthrough in life.
However, many people argue that time spent in the University is enough to get a youth through after learning an apprentice.
The Round Table learned that Rishi Sunak, himself, is a high school certificate holder but his success is traceable not to his hustling because he got married to a billionaire's daughter.
Remembering that it is not everyone will have the luck of inheriting wealth via marital means, the point is should the Conservatives concern themselves with promoting apprenticeship or focus on providing an enabling environment where those who wish to further their education to the University level find it palatable as those who may choose to go for apprenticeship after there high school?
