Disclosure of what the former Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai allegedly told the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the electioneering campaign has generated diverse reactions from Nigerians online.

Recall that Nasir El-Rufai recently suffered rejection by the National Assembly members during the screening of 48 ministerial nominees submitted to the National Assembly by President Bola Tinubu.

Although the reasons for his rejection were not made known, clearly to the public many people suggested his past and recent religious utterances regarding religious politics in Nigeria as a major factor that worked against his nomination. Some others also suggested that the insecurity menace bedeviling Kaduna State Staged a major blockade on the clearance of his ministerial nominations.

However, a source claims that Mallam Nasir El-Rufai had told President Bola Tinubu that he would prefer to enjoy his life, silently, abroad after the 2023 general election but President Tinubu begged him after winning the election to stay back in the country to serve in his administration.

This disclosure had generated mixed reactions from Nigerians online as many citizens condemned the decision of El-Rufai to leave the country and, silently enjoy his life abroad.

Some of the people who reacted to the disclosure alleged that Mallam El-Rufai had anticipated running away from the country after he had joined hands to destroy the country.

Many others thought that Mallam El-Rufai is only running away from the country to cover the shame of having his name rejected as a ministerial nominee under the administration of President Bola Tinubu.

Amazingly, some of the people who reacted to the trend suggested that El-Rufai had known that Peter Obi would be the winner of the 2023 Presidential Election which they believed would be restored by the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.

Following the imbroglio that was generated due to his Ministerial Nomination, Mallam El-Rufai is said to have allegedly withdrawn his interest to serve as a minister under President Tinubu and nominated one of his former Commissioners as his replacement.

Mallam Nasir El-Rufai is reported to have been jetted out of the country, yesterday following the decisions to shun the ministerial appointment.
