The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, has blacklisted some loan apps from operating within the territory of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
This decision was taken to regularize the banking sector in the country as many of the loan apps operating in the country were found to be unknown to the apex bank in Nigeria, CBN.
The Federal Government has turned red eyes on some of the loan apps operating in Nigeria after the owners of the apps began to molest their Nigerian clients who failed to pay up their debts as the deadline lapsed.
Some of the banned loan apps are EasyCredit, EasiMoni, KashKash, Speedy Choice, GoCash, Soko Loan App, Fast Money, GetCash, Icoin Loan, Naira Plus, 9jaCash, LionCash, GMoney, 9credit, Swiftkash App, Hen Credit Loan App, Cash Door App, Joy Cash-Loan App, Eaglecash App.
Others are Luckyloan Personal Loan App, Getloan App, Easeloan Apps, Naira Naija, Cashlawn App, Easynaira App, Crediting App, Yoyi App, Nut Loan App, Cashpal App, Nairaeasy Gist Loan App, Camelloan App, Nairaloan App, Moneytreefinance Made Easy App, Cashme App, Secucash App, Creditbox App, Cashmama App.
Also, among other loan apps banned from operation by the CBN include Crimson Credit App, Galaxy Credit App, Ease Cash App, Xcredit, Imoney, Naira Naija, Imoneyplus-Instant, Nairanaija-Instant, Nownowmoney, Naija Cash, Eagle Cash, Firstnell App, Flypay, Spark Credit, and Luckyloan Personal Loan App.
Patronizing these banned apps will unshield the citizens from customer Protection rights as well the operators of the loan apps may face stringent penalties from the government if caught to still be active after this pronunciation.
