One of Africa's largest Integrated Energy Solution Providers, OANDO, has signed an agreement with the Cross Rivers State government to support the state in bringing prosperity to its people.
In a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between OANDO and the Cross Rivers State government, the company agreed to provide Electric Vehicle palliative for the residents of the state, to alleviate the hardships inflicted on the citizens by the removal of oil subsidy by the Federal Government of Nigeria. The energy company also agreed with the state government that it will establish an Electric Vehicle Assembly Plant in the state.
"We will extend our sustainable transport initiative to the State with the rollout of Electric Vehicles (EVs) for mass transportation and the set up of an EV assembly plant in Tinapa," OANDO representatives assured the government of Cross Rivers State.
Giving remarks on its agreement with the Cross Rivers State government, OANDO representatives also revealed that the company is ready to develop a 100-megawatt wind farm in the state.
The statement reads "To this end, we signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Cross River State Government for the development of a 100-megawatt wind farm."
OANDO insisted that it is committed to supporting the Federal Government's race to net zero by 2060, as it vows to help others in solving people's problems with sustainable energy solutions.
