Nyesom Wike and Nasir Elrufai The Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir Elrufai is in Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital to meet with his counterpart in the state, Nyesom Wike.
Governor Nasir Elrufai is in the state to inspect several developmental projects that were being constructed by the administration of Governor Wike. The projects to be inspected will include those that are also completed and ready for commissioning.
Governor Nyesom Wike is one of the few governors in the state who have done wonderfully well in transforming the infrastructural development of their states. He has constructed and commissioned so many road projects, including the peak of his administrative performance in eight years, the building of many flyovers in his state.
Governor Wike is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Mallam Nasir Elrufai is a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC). The parly between the two governors from different political parties could not be unconnected to the crisis that rocked the PDP during the presidential election.
Nyesom Wike openly declared his decision to work for the presidential candidate of the APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu who later won the presidential election in Rivers State. Bola Ahmed Tinubu won the February 25th presidential election, defeating Atiku Abubakar of the PDP; Petee Obi of the Labour Party, and 15 other presidential candidates.
