GOV Alia Increases Benue NYSC Corp Members Allowee to N100000
NYSC Corp Members
There is a trending speculation that the Executive Governor of Benue State, Hyacinth Alia has increased the monthly allowee of the serving corps members in the state to N100,000.

Many Corp members are actually worrying on the authenticity of this news, as many believe that with N30,000 as the minimum wage of the government officials, it may not be possible for the state government to outpay its corp members what it cannot pay its mainstream civil servants.

Although the news about decision by the Benue State Government to pay its corp members N100,000 monthly is true, the amount is for a certain category of the corp members.

According to Benue State Government, the medical graduates serving in the state will receive, monthly, a sum of N100,000 as their monthly allowee from the state government while their counterparts awujo are not medical graduates will receive a monthly allowee of N15,000.

The payments is not part of the N33,000 monthly allowance from the Federal Government of Nigeria. It is a token from the state government to appreciate the graduates who choose to serve in Benue State despite the challenges facing the state.
