Dino Melaye Former member of the Senate representing Kogi West Senatorial district, Dino Melaye, has joined the race to pick the presidential ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi State.
Senator Dino Melaye was successfully screened by the PDP Screening committee for the Governorship aspirants of the party in Kogi State.
Kogi State will be going to a poll to elect a new governor of the state on November 11, 2023.

Reacting to the governorship ambition of Dino Melaye, many social commentators have objected that the governorship candidate of PDP in Kogi State should come from the Igala region, quoting the Okun region where DinonMelate hails from to be too weak to face and conquer the white lion, Governor Yahaya Bello in the state.
