The Chairman of the Caretaker Committee of Kano North Journalists Forum, Malam Shu'aibu Sani Bagwai has clarified that they decided to form the forum to have a formidable forum that would enable them to bring more developments to the senatorial district which comprised 13 Local Government Areas.
He disclosed at the end of the Forum's inaugural ceremony held at Radio Kano on Thursday, adding that the members of the forum were derived from all the 13 Local Government Areas that are under the Kano North Senatorial District to work as a team towards the development of the constituency.
Bagwai said, "We are all journalists working with various media organizations across the country, and from what we have done, our journey would be longer than expectations and we are united to promote our zone because we are left behind in so many issues," he stated.
Malam Shu'aibu Bagwai lamented that the Forum is non-partisan it is not related to any politician and would never take sides with any political party or elected leader rather than to work for the rapid development of the Kano North senatorial District.
Shu'aibu Sani Bagwai announced that "Kano North Journalists Forum is not a rival to the mother Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ; we are all under the umbrella of the union that is why our programs were restricted to our senatorial zone and we would only work there as a progressive team," he stated.
