The pathetic story which was shared on social by some netizens claimed that the son of the retired warrant officer hit him severely with firewood until he took the last breath. The source further claimed that the accused son was aiming to inherit his father's gratuities.
It was said that Ogunjinmi's son was aware that his retired dad had been paid his gratuities and other allowances by the military force following his retirement from active service.
The source further stated that Ogunjinmi's son had learned from his dad that he was his next of kin at the bank and the military record.
After his arrest, Ogunjinmi's son confessed to the people that he killed his dad because he wanted to take over his gratuities.
