Nigeria popular musician, Paul Nonso Okoye, who is prominently known as RudeBoy, a member of the square music gang, has been pounded with words by Nigerians who see an imbalance in his political message.

Rudeboy had taken to his Twitter page asking his followers to vote wisely in the forthcoming February polls. He stated that those who may want to vote based on ethnicity and tribalism so consider how Nigeria has been suffering in the past and those responsible for the suffering.

In his word, Rudeboy said "Vote wisely. Nigeria is very sick and very ill already and for those who decide to be tribal bigots by bringing tribal and ethnicity towards 2023, ask yourselves, where is Nigeria today? how did we get here? Who are those that put us in this present mess? Vote wisely."

Nigerians who are not satisfied with Rudeboy's information called him out and insisted he was rather the one doing tribal and ethnic bigotry.

One of his followers who replied to his tweet, Remi, stated that Rudeboy is secretly casting out those who may decide not to vote for Peter Obi or his Labour Party as those with tribal and ethnic bigotry, a perception which he stands against.

He said "Because some people will not vote for Obi doesn't make them a bigot and because you support Obi doesn't say it's a must to vote for him. Voting wise doesn't mean one must vote for the Labour party.

Oracle, another follower of Rudeboy pointed out where the message went wrong. He challenged Rudeboy on why it is not a bigot for Peter Obi's kinsmen to support him while others getting the support of their kinsmen would amount to tribal or ethnic bigotry.

Oracle queried Rudeboy that "an Igbo who supports Obi is not tribal bigot, a Yoruba guy who supports Tinubu is a tribal bigot. A none Yoruba or Igbo who chose to support Tinubu because of his track record he/she knows both in governance and politics is not voting wisely. I have made my wise decision.

A follower whose name shows @esdot_jage also questioned Rudeboy why he picked to support Peter Obi instead of Tinubu, Atiku or Sowore who are all contesting the February presidential seat. He said "Wait if you're not a tribal bigot, why not support Atiku, Tinubu or Sowore, you asked a question that already indicted your messiah, Peter Obi is part of the people that put us in this current mess.
