President Tinubu Suspends EFCC Chairman, Bawa Indefinitely

Tinubu Suspends bawa efcc Chairman suspended
Abdulrasheed Bawa
Chairman of the Nigerian anti-graft agency, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa has been suspended indefinitely.

Suspension of Bawa came few days after Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele was suspended by the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

According to the Presidency, the suspension of Bawa was to allow proper investigation into his conduct while in office following weighty allegations of abuse of office levelled against him.

Mr Bawa has been directed to immediately handover the affairs of his office to the Director, Operations in the Commission, who will oversee the affairs of the Office of the Chairman of the Commission pending the conclusion of the investigation.
