Bola Ahmed Tinubu inaugurates NEC members President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) has inaugurated The National Economic Council.
The inauguration of the National Economic Council took place at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa.
This is in bid to recover the economic providence of the country and to ease the standard of living for the residents as promised by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the electioneering campaign.
Membership of the NEC comprises of the 36 State Governors, the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria and other co-opted Government officials. It is chaired by the Vice President Kashim Shettima.
NEC members meet monthly with the mandate to "advise the President concerning the economic affairs of the Federation, and in particular on measures necessary for the coordination of the economic planning efforts or economic programmes of the various Governments of the Federation
