Popular and controversial Yoruba Singer, Saheed Akorede Okunola, who is popularly known as Saheed Osupa has turned 55, today.

Saheed Osupa was born on August 7th, 1969 in Ajegunle, Lagos State, Nigeria even though he is an indigene of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital city.

Saheed Osupa sings the local genre of Fuji music in the local Yoruba language. He is known to be a versatile musician, songwriter, and singer with nationwide respect.

Saheed Osupa who started his music career in the 1980s was recognized for many of his records including "Fuji Fa Disco", " Fuji Blues", and " Master" among others.

He has won many awards including the City People Entertainment Award for Fuji Musician of the Year.

Saheed Osupa is also known to be controversial in the music industry as he engaged some of his colleagues during the battle for supremacy regarding the claims to "King of Music".
