Police Report: Mohbad Sends Message to His Fans

Police Report mohbad
Ilerioluwa Atoba (Mohbad)
For the past few weeks, Nigeria's late popular songwriter and singer, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba who is popularly known as Mohbad has been in the news. This is after his sudden death, and a series of allegations raised against some of his former allies seem to have given life to the speculation about the cause of his death.

Kudos to the Lagos State Police Command, and the Nigeria Police Force in general for the great work done during the investigation towards attempts to unravel the cause of Mohbad's death, and ear the air about all the speculations that surrounded his death.

A few hours ago, the Lagos State Police Command, in an X (formerly Twitter) live broadcast gave a hint about the cause of Mohbad's death, and, some individuals who were formerly being accused by Mohbad's fans seem to have been acquitted, although in advance as the Police claimed that they are still awaiting final result of the autopsy conducted on the exhumed remains of the late singer.

Among the potential reasons unveiled by the Police today that might have been responsible for Mohbad's death, some seem more to be lessons and touching messages from the late Mohbad to his fans.

Recall that Police talked about Mohbad attending a show at Ikorodu a few days before his demise where he was said to have had his car blocked by his fans who accosted him when he was trying to clear some cars that blocked his vehicle. His very close friend, Ibrahim (Primeboy) who was in the same vehicle with Mohbad objected to Mohbad's attempt to step out of the vehicle to clear the road himself. Primeboy quoted Mohbad's safety as a reason he would not allow him to alight the vehicle that night (around 11 PM).

Mohbad was said to have violently rejected Primeboy's objection and countered his objection with an attempt to give him a blow which he dodged, and Mohbad hit his hand on the vehicle's window. This resulted in an injury on his hand which formed the basis of his death.

May the soul of Mohbad rest in peace but it may be important to digest the message that surrounds his death.

Nigerian Youths may have to stay away from the drug as it remains the leading cause of immorality, misbehavior, and disrespect among the youthful population.

Pardon me for raising an allegation that Mohbad would not have harassed his friend, Primeboy if he was not under the influence of a substance. Primeboy meant well for him and, probably, drug wanted another thing for Mohbad and the drug won.

Put Primeboy in the position of the Chief Security Officer of a sitting Governor in Nigeria, under the Police Act, a CSO has the right to rough handle the Governor, harass and bear the Governor at that point if he thinks the Governor is going against his intelligence and it will cost the Governor.

Thank God, Primeboy was not a Chief Security Officer, otherwise he would have taken all the blame for the speculation about his friend's death.

You too can also think about it, how would you have thought if Primeboy had been reported to have rough-handled his friend, Mohbad when he was trying to withhold his safety?

Under what circumstances would had Mohbad resolved to attempt to punch his friend, Primeboy, who was only caring for Mohbad's life?

Besides, it would be important for the youths to patronize government or standard hospitals. Nigerian youths are sustaining an unnecessary deception where the majority of the youths believe that nothing is working in Nigeria.

Unfortunately, many times, the system that we often condemned that it is not working is what later comes to our aid when we are in dire need.

What I mean here is that Mohbad might not have died if he had been taken to a Public or standard Hospital when his case became fearful. Unfortunately, he was taken care of by a quack nurse who is currently being accused of injecting him with drugs that might have caused his death.

To the majority of Nigerian youths, Nigerian public hospitals are not good, all their professionals have left for abroad but after the death of Mohbad, the same set of youths were all waiting, checking the clock at every tick of a second expecting the results of an autopsy performed on the sample collected from the remains late Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba (Mohbad) by the same set of doctors that they have been adjudged poor.

You may begin to wonder why Nigerian youths were so quiet, not asking for a doctor to be flown in from the United States of America, United Kingdom, or Germany because of the autopsy. They were not even concerned about the hospital and the qualifications of the medical personnel who conducted the autopsy.
