Nigerian Ex-Corp Member, Decency Thompson, who is on a trekking marathon from Nasarawa State capital, Lafia, to Port-Harcourt, River State capital city, has despised people regarding him being out of his senses for embarking on what they described as a wild journey.
Thompson decided to trek on foot from Lafia to Port-Harcourt to protest the high rate of unemployment in the country.
Thompson, an ex-corp member, has been unemployed for many years after he has completed his higher institution education.
Many people have suggested to Thompson to halt the journey they considered "tedious" considering the wilderness of the road and insecurity menace hitting the country, even though the rate of the insecurity is gradually decreasing owing to the federal government's intervention.
However, Thompson has vowed to complete the journey, claiming "nothing can deter him."
Re-affirming his resolve never to halt the journey, Thompson said regardless of what his critics say, he will complete the tour to achieve his aim.
Thompson is already on his 13th day on the road advancing towards Umuahia from Okikwe, Imo State.
He said, “I do not even care again, thus gotten this far. 13th day on the road,” he added.
“Now in Okikwe, Imo State. I’m currently heading towards Umuahia.”
