The proposed local government election in Osun State seems to have frustrated the peace and orderliness of the people living in Osun as members 9f the ruling party in Osun State, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) triggered a free-for-all life-hunting of co-aspirants nursing ambition to become parts of the local government administration that will be elected in the planned election.
This observation is related to a trending online video where a PDP member from Ife East local government area, Hon. Olalekan Olawole, accused a fellow member of the party who happens to be one of the national leaders of PDP, Prof. Wale Oladipo of aiding an attack on his personality.
Hon. Olawole accused Prof. Oladipo of sending his boys (political thugs) to attack him at his hotel, which is said to be located at Ife City College Area in Ile Ife, the cradle city of Yoruba generation.
Hon. Olawale, who appeared frustrated, said he escaped to a nearby Divisional Police Station located at Moore, Ile Ife.
He also accused a former caretaker member of the Ife East Local Government, Segun Adefioye; former Personal Assistant to the former Chairman of the council, Adesanmi Emmanuel and one Fatai Ibitoye to be working in alliance with Prof. Oladipo, aiming for his ass@ssin@tion.
Hon Olawole claimed to be a former executive member of the party in the Ife East Local Government area and aspires to become the Executive Chairman of the local government area in the proposed election.
Recently, the Executive Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, threatened members of the party, insisting punishment would be served on anyone who bring the issue of the party to social media for discussion.
