Photo Credit: Twitter The presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, today revealed the reason behind the right between his contemporary in the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar and former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo. He said the crisis between them was related to who take the lion's share of the money meant for infrastructural development which was embezzled by them.
Tinubu, who was speaking to the mammoth crowd that graced his presidential rally in Enugu, stated that the money meant for the construction of the second Niger Bridge was embezzled by former President Obasanjo and his ex-VP Atiku Abubakar when the two men were at the helm of affairs of the country.
Telling the present crowd, why they should cast their votes for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), in the forthcoming presidential election, Bola Tinubu called that in 2002, after the inauguration and soil-turning ceremonies for the construction of the second Niger Bridge, administration of PDP budgeted huge sum of money for the project, but failed to lay a single block on the construction site. He revealed that the money budgeted for the project was embezzled by Chief Obasanjo and Atiku while grievances on who took the highest share of the loot led the two men into political crisis that separated them.
Tinubu, at the venue of the rally, said that APC administration has been able to complete the second Niger Bridge which PDP could not do in their 16 years in power.
