Wives beating husbands A new statistic which was released by StatiSense shows that couples in the Northern part of Nigeria beat themselves than their counterparts in southern Nigeria.
The data analytics company compared the reasons for which husbands beat their wives and why the wives beat their husbands across the country before the data shows that husbands beat their wives, and wives beat their husbands more frequently because of two reasons.
Interestingly, the state shows that couples in Nigeria beat themselves at the rate of 21.4% both for husbands beating their wives for "going out without telling their husbands" and for "neglecting the children" while wives reportedly beat their husbands for the same reasons at the rate of 11.6%, respectively.
However, data shows that husbands in each of the geopolitical zones in the northern part of Nigeria beat their wives more than their counterparts in any of the three geopolitical zones in the Southern hemisphere.
A 2018 statistic, still believed to be active, showed that 24.7% of husbands in the North West beat their wives while 11.1% of wives beat their husbands in the same geopolitical zone.
Also, in the North East, 23.7% of husbands beat their wives while 17.8% of wives beat their husbands in the geopolitical zone.
In the North Central, the lowest in the North, 14.4% of husbands beat their wives while only 2.1% of wives beat their husbands.
On the side of husbands beating wives, the worst zone in the southern part of Nigeria is South East with 5.9% better than all the zones in the North.
However, on the side of wives beating their husbands, South West is the only zone that is better than North Central in the country.
South West has the best rating with less husband-wives or wives-husband beating profile with 2.2% and 2% records, respectively.
