Nigerian Customs Intercept Container Loaded with 844 Rifles, 112,500 Live Ammunition
Seized ammunition

Operatives of the Nigerian Customs Service, today, intercepted container from Turkey loaded with 844 rifles and 112,500 pieces of live ammunition in Rivers State.

The rifles and ammunition worth N4 billion were concealed using various items such as doors, furniture, plumbing fittings, and leather bags.

Three suspects have been arrested and are in custody while investigations are on to decipher the circumstances surrounding the shipment.
