Officers of the Nigerian Navy have been accused of sh00ting to death, a civilian, simply identified as Majo, who allegedly refused to stop at a checkpoint mounted by the officers in Abia State.
The worrisome incident that occurred yesterday, Thursday, February 15th in Owerri, Imo State capital had left the family of Majo in a sorrowful state.
Majo, who is said to have had his wedding ceremony recently, was allegedly sh0t dead by the Navy officers at a checkpoint mounted along Umuezegu to Mbawsi road, Isiala Ngwa North Local Government Area of Abia State.
Our source claimed that Majo was sh0t dead by the Navy officers for allegedly refusing to stop his motorcycle at their checkpoint.
The Nigeria Military and the Nigeria Police Force had deployed some of their officers to strategic areas highlighted as black spots across the Southeastern part of Nigeria to curtail the insecurity menace threatening the life and property of the residents of the region.
Recall that the activities of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), threatening the sovereignty of Nigeria as a Federal Republic in its agitation for secession, have been rooted incomparable elsewhere in Imo and Anambra State.
