Abdul-Aziz Na'ibi Abubakar Director General of the Media wing of Atiku The Light Organisation, Abdul-Aziz Na'ibi Abubakar has stated that the resolution reached by the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) to set up a stand-by force to restore constitutional order in Niger Republic.
Abdul-Aziz who seemed not to be comfortable with the resolution by the ECOWAS stated that the war against the Niger Republic may not materialize because the Northern part of Nigeria has a mutual relationship with Niger Republic.
He stated that it will not be possible for Nigerian Muslim soldiers who are of Hausa/Fulani extraction to wage war against their Muslim brothers from the Niger Republic who are also of Hausa/Fulani extraction.
Abdul-Aziz who has been an age-long supporter of the presidential candidates of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 general election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, stated that "How can u order a Muslim Hausa/Fulani to go kill his Muslim Hausa/Fulani brother in the Niger Republic?
Relying on his assertion on the age-long relationship between Northern Nigeria and the people of Niger Republic, Abdul-Aziz concluded that the resolution by ECOWAS to use Force against the Niger junta is illogical.
"It doesn't make sense at all. Northern Nigeria has had a very good relationship with Niger for over 700yrs, centuries b4 the amalgamation of Nigeria. We're vehemently against this war!," Abdul-Aziz stated.
