Manchester City Football Club has broken a record, previously held by the Blues, Chelsea Football Club in the history of the English Premier League.
Manchester City defeated Nottingham Forest Football Club 2 goals to ni to extend its victory matches to six consecutive in the opening section of the English Premier League. Chelsea was the only English Football Club that won all its first six opening English Premier League matches until today when Manchester City broke the record.
Recall that under Manager Jose Mourinho, Chelsea Football Club in the 2005/2006 English Premier League Football season won its first six opening matches to set the record.
Although Arsenal Football Club had won the league with the invisible record, it did not win all its first six matches as it recorded draw(s) in its invisible games.
Manchester City may set a new record next weekend as they take on Arsenal Football Club to become the first-ever English Football Club to win its seven opening games consecutively.
