Oyo Power Supply Band A With the new power supply bands rolled out by the power supply companies in Nigeria, Oyo State has 40 Areas that fall within the Band A power plan.
According to the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company, IBEDC, 40 Areas within Oyo State fall within its Band A, and the areas are assured of enjoying between 20 to 24 hours of power supply, daily. However, the power consumers in these areas will certainly pay more than any other power consumers in the state.
The list of 40 Areas that fell within Band A are mostly industrial or government-reserved areas and mostly domiciled in Ibadan, the state capital.
About 93% of the Band A areas in Oyo State fall within Ibadan, the State capital with Oyo township and Ogbomosho completely left out of the power plan.
The list of areas in Oyo State that fall within Band A and will enjoy 20 to 24 hours of power supply, daily, are:
