Africa is known, globally for its black power. The varieties of black power in Africa are complex but the uniqueness is in the purpose for which it is mostly used.
Perhaps, it is not that the spiritual world is limited to Africa, no the world is blessed with the power of spirits. However, African witchcraft seems to be distinct in the sense that it is widely portrayed as devilish. Oh, no! African power whether they call it black, red, or colored power can do both negative and positive biddings just as the spiritual power possessed by other living beings across the world.
Lynn Ngugi had an interview with a Ugandan lady, Erica Mukisa who was said to have possessed African witchcraft doe about 18 years. She revealed how she used her witchcraft to destroy men and their houses. He said her witchcraft just hates men and she was used against the men. Erica was initiated into witchcraft at 8 by her grandmother.
Mukisa wasn't the only one in witchcraft, it was indeed a family inheritance for her as one of her aunties also practice witchcraft and has a big office in Uganda.
Mukisa's first exercise of witchcraft power was when she started flying on her grandmother's grave and her spirit was getting out of her body.
Mukisa said she was surprised the first day she found herself in the 'world of the dead'. She said that was where they apportioned her to serve the devil.
The devil that I served hated men and believed men were supposed to be slaves to women, Mukisa stated.
"I served the devil for 18 years, caused accidents, destroyed families, and hated men," Mukisa revealed further.
She stated that she has destroyed many men, destroyed their families, and caused various kinds of road accidents just to satisfy the devil she served.
