Nigerian Airforce Recently, the Nigerian Airforce recruitment news went viral on Nigerian social media spaces with many individuals becoming heavily happy over the news.
Knowing fully well that many Nigerian youths have appetites for the Nigerian Navy jobs, probably because of the salary structures, opportunity and honor attached to the Nigerian Navy jobs.
However, according to the Directorate of Public Relations and Information of the Nigerian Air Force, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, the news that the Nigerian Airforce is currently recruiting for the year 2023 is untrue, fake and should be outrightly discarded by the general public.
Reacting to the recruitment news relating to the Nigerian Airforce, Air Commodore Edward stated that "The attention of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has been drawn to a fake recruitment advert currently circulating on various social media platforms inviting applications from unsuspecting members of the public with the intent to defraud them. The NAF therefore wishes to state that it is not currently conducting any recruitment exercise.
"It would be recalled that the NAF on 8 July 2023 graduated recruits of Basic Military Training Course 43/2022.
"Accordingly, members of the public would be adequately informed whenever it is recruiting. The public is please once again reminded that recruitment and selection process into the NAF is FREE and without any form of gratification. Anyone who pays money under any guise does so at his or her own risk.
"Furthermore, NAF recruitment process is devoid of recruitment agents, hence anyone who claims to be operating in such capacity on behalf of the NAF is a fraudster. The NAF wishes to advise prospective applicants to promptly report anyone who solicit for payments to the nearest NAF Unit or The Nigeria Police Force.
