The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has rejected a manual result that was submitted for collation from Fufore Local Government Area in Adamawa State.
Results of the Saturday March 18th governorship election, as collated and uploaded to the INEC Results Viewing Portal (IReV) showed that the All Progressives Congress (APC) scored 24,777 votes and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) polled 20,777. However, in the result sheet presented manually by affected Local Government Returning Officer, it was showed that the APC got 26,329 votes, and the PDP got 21,721 votes.
INEC Returning Officer in the state therefore upheld the IReV result, dropping the manual result of the Fufore local government area.
