Shehu Sani Former member of the National Assembly from Kaduna State, Senator Shehu Sani has expressed surprise at the recent revelation coming out about the ranking of financial misappropriation that took place at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) under the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Recall that the Department of State Service (DSS) picked up the former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, a few days after the expiration of the tenure of Muhammadu Buhari.
In the aftermath of his arrest, Emefiele has been quoted to have allegedly revealed how he released hundreds of billion Naira, monthly to some Ministries, Departments, and Agencies on the order of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Considering the diary of corrupt cases that have been linked to the Central Bank of Nigeria on the order of former President Muhammadu Buhari, the former Kaduna Central Senator Shehu Sani disclosed his imagination on how the CBN was turned to the "most opaque and fraudulent institution of government" that ever existed in Nigeria.
Senator Sani stated that it would be inconsequential to believe that former President Muhammadu Buhari would be the worst Nigerian President after he has spent years condemning his predecessors.
He said "The CBN under Buhari is the most opaque and fraudulent institution of Government in the history of Nigeria, if what we read is the true situation of the Apex Bank. How did this happen under a man who has historically accused his predecessors of state heists?
