Gunmen Abduct Poly Students, 25 Others Along Abuja-Nasarawa Highway
Criminals

About 30 travelers, including some students of the Federal Polytechnic, Nasarawa were reportedly abducted by suspected kidnappers along the Abuja-Nasarawa Highway on Friday, Punch Newspapers reports.

PUNCH Metro gathered from a source who pleaded anonymity due to the nature of the incident on Sunday that the kidnappers laid siege to the vehicles conveying the travelers and abducted them into a nearby bush in the Uke area of Nasarawa State.

The source stated further that a student of the Federal Polytechnic, Nasarawa was travelling to her family in Abuja.

All roads that led to Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, ought to be the safest in Nigeria but unfortunately, the road network proved to be the most dreadful in the country.

The government's efforts to restore sanity on this road network have been proving abortive so far, as the perpetrators of the criminal act have no regard for the weak members of the society including women, kids, and students whenever they strike on the road.

What do you think could be done to finally clear Abuja-bound roads of all these incessant attacks and records of criminalities?
