Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has announced the appointment of 47 news aides who will handle the media aspect of his administration.

Governor Fintiri,few minutes ago, announced the appointment of 2 Special Advisers, 10 Senior Special Assistants and 35 Special Assistants on Media alone.

The names of the appointees and their portfolios are as listed below:

However, it is pathetic to see Adamawa State government announcing such an unnecessary number of political appointees, mostly at this period when the national is facing tough economic challenges following the removal of oil subsidy.

Unfortunately, the benefits that the citizens may have to derive from the removal of oil subsidy, as it has resulted into an increase in the monthly allocation going to the state, might be jeopardize by state governors who may embark on this kind of irrelevant appointments, instead of spending the money on infrastructural projects that may have positive impacts on the life of the citizens.

Adamawa State is a poor state among committee of states in Nigeria, and it could be very hard for anyone to come forth in defence of this incessant wastage of government resources by the state Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.
