Osun State government under the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke has been alleged of witch-hunting the state workers in bid to retrench some workers who are being anticipated to be a mole in the administration.
The administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke is alleged to be heading towards having a one-party state civil service workforce, and slavery-oriented state workers.
This is related to a revelation by our source that Governor Ademola Adeleke's administration has concluded plans to embark on a staff audit of all the state workers, and the materials that would be used to determine whether the staff is fit to remain in the state civil service is the bank statements of each of the state workers.
To this effect, a directive was recently given by the state workers that every civil servant in the state is to print his/her bank account statement for nine (9) years, starting from January 1st, 2015 to date June 2023.
The directive has positioned many civil servants in the state against the administration of Ademola Adeleke because they discovered that their bank statements would be used for two vindictive purposes.
One of the vindictive purposes for which the administration of Ademola Adeleke is demanding the state workers' nine years' bank account statements is to establish any workers that have ever received payment from any of the leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who is loyal to the immediate former Governor of the State, Alhaji Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola within the years in review. Recall that Oyetola first became the Chief of Staff of the State before becoming Executive Governor of the State in 2018.
With this move, Ademola Adeleke's administration is to fish out any Civil Servant in the state with a long-term relationship with Adegboyega Oyetola or any of his loyalists, and sack them, a source told the Round Table.
Besides, the Round Table learned that the administration of Ademola Adeleke is also demanding the state workers submit their nine years' bank statements to discover some workers who could be categorized as "too rich to be civil servants".
Our source confided in us that the purpose of the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke's demand for their bank account statement is to ensure that rich workers should not be kept in the system because they will not always heed their directive.
"They want to retain only the poor or average civil servants who will always look up to them, and will lack the courage to challenge them whenever they want to trespass with the executive power, so their mission is to sack civil servants with a reasonable amount of money with the aim that they may be too rich to be answerable to their yet to be known mission," our source revealed.
