The above scenario may be used to determine the momentum that drove the plight of David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, in the Nigerian music industry.
Yesterday, Davido took to his X space to announce when he should be expected to bow out of the music industry, even though he did not unveil his next professional career. However, the Round Table could remember recent speculation that he is being prepared to contest the position of the Executive Governor of Osun State during the 2026 governorship election, a position currently being held by his uncle, Ademola Adeleke.
Announcing what looks like his first decision towards affirming his rumored political interest, Davido on Thursday took to his social media space to announce the time he will quit the Nigerian entertainment industry.
He said, “Yall niggas want me out the game that bad ?? Oya after next album I no do again. So una fit get peace.
Davido was recently involved in a supremacy battle with Nigerian music giant, Wizkid, and with remarks from the scenarios that were unveiled during the peak period of the rift, the majority of the music fans in the country spoke not in favor of Davido.
Although Davido was allegedly quoted to have forecasted he would quit music in his 30s even before he got huge fame in the music industry he might have said that when he did not have much insight about what the future held for him in the music industry.
Notwithstanding, Davido has been rumored to have been selected by members of his Adeleke family with a unanimous decision to present him as the next governorship candidate of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State, come 2026 governorship election.
The members of his family were said to have been fed up with litigation surrounding the academic profile of Davido's uncle, Ademola Adeleke, who is currently the incumbent Governor of Osun State.
Recall that two of Davido's uncles, Adetunji Adeleke and Ademola Adeleke, have become the Executive Governor of Osun State since it was created in 1991.
Although another source projected that Davido might be settled with a Senatorial ticket, the position has been held by his grandfather and two uncles in the past.
Even though Davido's aunt is being accused of preparing herself for the senatorial seat of Osun West Senatorial District during the 2027 general election, Davido's decision 5o quit music might be a step towards giving his rumored political interest a test.
