Nhyiraba Kojo
A popular musician in Ghana, Nhyiraba Kojo has been sent to prison by a commercial court in the country.

Nhyiraba Kojo was charged before a Sekondi Commercial High Court by three landlords in Fijai; Edmund Sampana Dienorng, Nicholas Imbeah, and Samuel Kofi Dzukey for noise making.

After defying the interlocutory injunction order served by the court to stop making noise in an area where his nightclub is located, the court, presided over by Justice Sedina Agbemava, sentenced Nhyiraba Kojo to incarceration.

The Sekondi Commercial High Court therefore sentenced Nhyiraba Kojo to 30 days in prison for contempt regarding the noise coming from his club.

Justice Sedina Agbemava had in his interlocutory injunction order that Nhyiraba Kojo stop the noise at the nightclub, ensure soundproof installation at the NK City Nightclub, and submit a report to the court but he failed to comply. Hence, he was sent to the prison for 30 days with no fine option
