Adeparusi Damilola a.k.a Chef Dammy Nigerian Chef Adeparusi Damilola who is popularly known as Chef Dammy has been allegedly arrested by the Ekiti State Police Command in order of her Pastor Jeremiah of the Spirit Word Mission.
Recall that Chef Dammy recently accused her Church’s pastor of a witch-hunt in an Instagram post released on her account.
Chef Dammy accused her pastor of threatening her with a message reading “By the time we are done with you, you will not be able to stand on your feet again.”
Concluding her alarming Instagram message, Chef Dammy claimed “…But in case anything happens to me, hold him [Pastor Jeremiah] responsible. He told me to prepare for war and we are both on it.”
A yet-to-be-verified alert claims Chef Dammy is currently under detention by AIG Zone 17 Police Division in Akure, Ondo State capital. The arrest was said to have followed a petition filed against her at the Police Division.
A netizen who shared the development alleged that the police division is known for corrupt practices as he has gone through the system.
Chef Dammy’s pastor was said to have, through the church, sponsored Chef Dammy’s 120-hour cookathon, challenging the 100-hour cooking marathon record, then held by Nigerian Chef Hilda Bacci.
Chef Dammy was said to have fallen out with her pastor following an attempt to tamper with her freedom after she finished the first marathon.
An investigation by the Foundation for Investigative Journalism (FIJ) claimed that Chef Dammy lost her freedom to the church after the 120-hour cooking marathon when her church took over her phone and managed her social media accounts.
She was said to have been told by the church to prepare for another marathon to be sponsored by the church which did not go down well with Chef Dammy thus she claimed she has not recovered from the 120-hour cookathon she just concluded.
When her family learned about the development within the church, they felt unhappy and informed the Ekiti State Government which later intervened and helped Chef Dammy to regain her phone from the church.
Immediately after regaining the mobile phone, Chef Dammy transferred a sum of N700,000 (Seven Hundred Thousand Naira) to the bank accounts of her mum holding N500,000 and her elder brother, where she sent N200,000 out of the N1.2 million in her bank account. This makes the relationship between Chef Dammy and the church severe.
