Since last night, there has been growing speculation on social media that the suspended Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara had a meeting with his erstwhile political godfather, Nyesom Wike who is the current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
TheRoundTable can confirm that there was truly a meeting between the suspended Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, his erstwhile political godfather and Minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike, the suspended Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Martin Amaewhule and some members of the suspended Rivers State House of Assembly although the meeting was held at the instance and under the influence of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu who sat above the first scene of the meeting.

TheRoundTable can as well affirm that the meeting is just the first of a series of meetings that are expected to hold between the suspended Governor Fubara, Mr. Nyesom Wike, the suspended Speaker Hon. (RT) Martin Amaewhule and members of the suspended Rivers State House of Assembly, the outcome of Thursday's meeting was rejoicing.

President Tinubu was said to have summoned the parties to the meeting for establishing definite path for peace to return to Rivers State as the political misunderstanding among the invited parties had forced State of Emergency rule on Rivers State.

The meeting which held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja is expected to lead to series of meetings, soon, between the concerned parties so as to finally put to rest, the political instability in Rivers State, lay oath for final peace and prepare the political actors for peaceful coexistence as the President is expected to relax the Rule of Emergency earlier pronounced on the people of Rivers State.
