Alex Iwobi Super Eagles midfielder, Alexander Chuka Iwobi, who is popularly known as "Alex Iwobi" has deleted all his pictures on Instagram after he was criticized over poor performance at the just concluded Cote D'Ivoire 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON.
Iwobi who played all seven matches of the Super Eagles at the AFCON 2023 came under heavy condemnation from fellow citizens who felt he delivered lesser than expectation from him.
Many supporters of Nigeria's Super Eagles have condemned Alex Iwobi's performance at the AFCON matches claiming he was a minus to the team.
Some Nigerians believe he performed below average, he was not expected to have gone that far.
Many citizens collectively condemned the performance of the Super Eagles in the final match against Ivory Coast, however, some people singled out Iwobi for condemnation claiming he did not compliment the efforts of Ajayi and Onyeka in the midfield.
Recall that The Round Table early reported that some Super Eagles players who are far below the age of 30 are currently considering retirement from the national team, many people are interpreting Iwobi's action as a hint to his likely premature retirement from the national team.

In a related development, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is caught in action, planning to sack the Super Eagles Coach, Jose Peseiro, after the AFCON Loss.
