The Trailer loaded with condemned iron A minor, a 2-year-old baby, and another person have been killed by a truck carrying condemned iron in Cross Rivers State.
The incident which happened on the weekend left the people of the state in a bad mood.
Eyewitness accounts stated that the tragic incident occurred late on Saturday at Ugep, Yakurr Local Government Area of Cross Rivers State.
The affected family had already retired to their rooms for night rest when the truck fully loaded with condemned iron rammed into their residence around 10 pm, Saturday, April 20th, 2024, killing two people, a minor and one other.
The incident occurred along Magistrate Road adjacent to Ediba Junction of Ugep, Cross Rivers State.
The cause of the accident has not been established but it may not be unconnected to the failure of the truck's brake or fatigue in the side of the truck driver.
