Word Press Conference: Atiku Abandons Fubara, Concentrates On 2027 Poll Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has publicized that opposition figures in the country are now ready to oppose President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
Since he defunct the 2023 presidential election, Atiku has been rallying antithesis figures to take over power from the incumbent.
Addressing the press conference alongside other opposition figures at the Yar’adua center in Abuja on Thursday, Atiku disclosed the gathering was the birth of repugnance coming together ahead of the next elections.
Answering questions on whether the antagonism coalition press conference signaled the coming together of opposition leaders, Atiku disclosed, “this is the birth of the coalition of repugnance ahead of 2027″.
On Tuesday, President Tinubu announced a State of Emergency in Rivers State, sacking the state Governor Siminalayi Fubara, his Deputy and members of the State House of Assembly, prompting a reaction from opposition figures.
Addressing the press conference on behalf of the contrariety leaders at Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja, on Thursday, Atiku implicated Tinubu of favouritism.
Other repugnance leaders present at the press conference contain, Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, who is represented by Yunusa Tanko, former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, National Secretary of the Coalition of United Political Parties, Peter Ameh, and Convenor of the Alternative, Segun Showunmi, amidst others.
